leləm̓ is situated on the western edge of Pacific Spirit Park, where the headwaters of the Salish and Cutthroat Creeks rise up from the ancient rocks. The 22-acre site is bounded by University Golf Club to the east and the UBC campus to the west, creating a new bridge of community, where everyone belongs. leləm̓ will reunite the north and south of Pacific Spirit Park with a new forest heart, a brand new community centre for UEL,and a daycare centre. leləm̓ will be a contemporary village set amidst towering trees, weaving multi-family living and a retail and gathering hub into a natural landscape.
At every turn, nature will be given pride of place. leləm̓ will create an accessible wetland for stormwater management, integrating an essential development function into the natural ecosystem of the park. There will be new trails, an adventure playground, and paths into the forest to bring everyone closer to their true home — our shared home in nature: leləm̓.
The Phase 1 development project is currently in design phase which includes an 18-Story condominium and townhouse project, a mixed-use retail and residential project, and community centre and daycare. Polygon Homes has commenced marketing for their townhouse and tower site in the brand new presentation centre shared by Polygon and MCC.
