Jessica is the Team Coordinator for the Business Development Team and provides support for meetings, communications and activities with partners, member-owned businesses, employment and training, suppliers and contractors, as well as administration and database management. She has strong organizational and interpersonal skills that is coupled with a background in administration, support services and hospitality. Jessica is excited to be a part of Musqueam’s Initiatives and lending her skills to help secure the best future possible for all community members.
Justeen is the Senior Human Resources Manager at MCC, bringing over 25 years of diverse human resources, finance, payroll, and recruiting experience to the team. She has managed the Human Resources and Finance function in small to mid-size companies in industries including IT, Non-Profit, Public Sector, Retail and Health and Safety services.
Her areas of expertise include employee relations, compliance and best practices, performance & compensation management, policy and procedure, and benefits administration. Currently, Justeen is responsible for HR Operations at Musqueam Capital Corp, University Golf Club, Musqueam Golf & Learning Academy and Milltown Marina. In addition to administering payroll for 200+ employees, she also develops procedures to review these processes in order to eliminate errors for both HR and Finance.
Justeen and her team will continue to work closely with MCC and its assets, focusing on company brand and culture, performance management, policy and procedures, recruitment and overall needs due to growth. She also looks forward to increasing Musqueam employment capacity within the assets.
Before joining MCC, I worked as the AP clerk in the MIB Finance Department for the past 2 years.
As a Musqueam band member, I am happy to join the MCC team as the new Junior Accountant and excited to further my skills and knowledge in accounting, while still being able to work for my community.
Charlotte Mearns – Administrative Assistant
Jean is responsible for overseeing leasing and property management activities for Musqueam Capital Corp. She has extensive knowledge within the real estate industry and years of experience with multiple asset classes across Canada. She has proven success in developing systems, processes, and mentoring others to ensure best practice management. Currently focused on our rapidly growing portfolio, championing new initiatives/technologies with an emphasis on sustainability.
Prior to joining Musqueam Capital Corp. Jean held a manager role for a global real estate manager and developer. When she is not grinding away on a unique deal or finding unexampled ways to solve problems, she can be found on her boat on the Alouette River or renovating her historical 1912 East Van home.
My name is Amy and I joined Musqueam as an Intermediate Accountant. I studied and received my bachelor’s degree in accounting and have been working for the last 5 years as AP supervisor and am currently pursuing a CPA designation.
I am excited to be a part of MCC.
June Kim joined Musqueam in 2007 and became the accounting manager of Musqueam Capital Corp. in 2014. She is a dedicated professional with over 15 years’ progressive experience in accounting including preparation of financial statements and summaries, financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. She is a driven person who enjoys utilizing her strong financial technology skills and up to date knowledge of accounting standards. June holds a Masters in Science, a CPA, and a CGA designation.
Joseph has managed land development and capital projects for over 25 years. His experience includes design and construction of mixed-use master planned communities, industrial and commercial developments, and site servicing. Joseph obtained his BSc in civil engineering from Queen’s University and MBA from SFU.
Sandra Fossella is a proud member of the Musqueam Nation who feels fortunate to have been born and raised within this close-knit community. With a strong desire to give back, she became a mentor for the Musqueam Girls Group and Musqueam Youth Program. Her vision and values made her a natural fit for the Musqueam Capital Corporation (MCC), where she started as Operations Coordinator in 2016. Sandra’s role with MCC continues to evolve, with a primary focus on managing Musqueam’s growing asset base, and establishing partnerships to build on the exciting opportunities ahead for the Musqueam people.
Richard comes to MCC from a background of heavy civil, commercial, and residential construction. He started his career in the trades as an apprentice carpenter and has been steadily progressing through the years into supervisory and management positions while working on some notable projects in the process. Including the Port Mann Bridge Replacement, Tsawwassen Mills Mall, and multiple Mid and Highrise towers in Vancouver. In his most recent role before MCC, Richard was a Structural Superintendent and was involved in mostly Highrise projects with values ranging from 126 to 285 million dollars. With a keen eye for safety and quality, along with boots on the ground experience. Richard is a welcome addition to the MCC team, and we look forward to seeing him adapt and grow in his role as Project Manager.
Richard is also a Musqueam member, part of the Sparrow family, and has been playing for Musqueam sports team recreationally and competitively from a young age. Richard is excited to start using the skills and knowledge acquired from his 15 years in the industry, to give back to the community that provided support to him in his youth and as a young adult.
Camille is a Musqueam community member who comes to MCC with several years of Customer Service and administrative experience gained in various industries. Camille is happy to join the MCC team in her role of Administrative Assistant to the Business Development Team; while furthering her administrative skills and continuing to learn about Musqueam’s rich culture, history, and traditions. Camille has taken on the role of overseeing the Business development teams CRM database and key portfolios. She has successfully completed her education through LaSalle College, obtaining a Diploma in Fashion Merchandise and Marketing. Camille enjoys several athletic endeavors, and is a vibrant, energetic individual who enjoys spending time with family and friends. We look forwards to having her join our team and to share our culture, history, and traditions with her.
Henry F. Man is President and CEO of Magellen Developments (20/20) Inc., a company founded by him in 2004 to specialize in medium and high density urban real estate developments and related investments. Prior to starting Magellen, Mr. Man was the Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Concord Pacific Group Inc. in Vancouver and Director and Chief Operating Officer of Concord Adex Developments Corp. in Toronto, where he played a pivotal role in the development of two of Canada’s largest high density master planned communities. Prior to his work in the real estate industry, Henry had a successful engineering and management career with British Petroleum Canada in Calgary.
Henry is on the Board of the Musqueam Capital Corporation. He is the Vice Chair of the Providence Health Care Society Board, a member of the Building Commission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver, as well as a member of the Advisory Committee to the Dean of Engineering at UBC. Henry’s past directorships include the Canadian Club in Toronto, the past Chair of the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation in Vancouver, Corpus Christi and St. Mark’s Colleges at UBC, the St. George’s School in Vancouver, and the Community Care Foundation in Vancouver. He was a recipient of Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 under 40 Achievement Award.
Mr. Man obtained his Engineering degree from UBC in 1983 and his MBA (Finance) from the University of Calgary in 1991.

Game-changing developments include the restructuring of the Olympic Village and Woodwards – a visionary development that integrated market and non-market housing, commercial users and Simon Fraser University’s new downtown presences, Fairmont Pacific Rim, and Marine Gateway which all have revitalized their surrounding neighbourhoods.
Bob is involved in various philanthropic initiatives focused on mental health and education, along with being an active voice and member of the arts community locally, nationally, and internationally. Bob sits on numerous boards and executive committees around the world, including: The Tate International Council (London), the Advisory Board to the Faculty of Arts (UBC), and the University Art Committee at the University of British Columbia (UBC), the Urban Development Institute (UBC), and the Peter P. Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics Advisory Board. Bob is also a former chair of the North America Acquisitions Committee (NAAC) at Tate Museum in London and a former 7-year member of the Board of Governors at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
Rennie is currently on the Board of Trustees and the School at the Art Institute of Chicago, is the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond and Golden Jubilee awards, the Order of British Columbia and has a doctorate from Emily Carr University.
Chair of the Musqueam Capital Corp. Board Finance & Audit Committee and member of the Human Resources Committee, Denise is a seasoned leader with 30 years of experience in commercial real estate spanning senior responsibility for operations, finance and legal. She is principal of Bravura Business Solutions, a recognized leader in governance advisory and contract executive services. Past positions include executive vice president of TitanStar Properties Inc. and co-principal of the IAT Group of Companies, where she helped build the Canadian and American business and assisted in taking privately held Canadian real estate assets public by way of one of Canada’s first income trusts. Her extensive experience on numerous Boards includes currently serving on the Board of DIRTT Environmental Solutions Ltd., and past positions which include past Board Chair for Community Living BC, an $850 million Crown corporation, and a founding director and Board Vice Chair of the BC Provincial Health Services Authority, where she participated in the formation of Board governance and helped oversee the creation of an entirely new organization comprised of eight major provincial agencies. She holds a director designation (ICD.D) with the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Norm Shearing has been involved in some of Vancouver’s largest real estate developments – most notable, the planning and redevelopment of the Expo Lands, the Coal Harbour Bayshore property and the River District. An Architect, and LEED Accredited Professional, Norm is a former Chair of the Vancouver Urban Design Panel and a recognized champion of sustainable developments that reflect values of community well-being through the design and placement of structures in relation to the natural environment. Norm’s leadership expertise has helped transform brownfield sites into thriving, well-loved residential communities. An experienced consensus-builder, Norm believes strongly in engaging with stakeholders and consultation as a means of addressing complex urban issues. His collaborative leadership style and his ability to move organizations forward transition well into board rooms and community centres where he reinvests his time and care in community building – a commitment he has made consistently for more than twenty years. A former Director of Canadian Green Building Council and Smart Growth BC, Norm continues as a sustainability champion as President, Dockside Green Limited where he is responsible for the ongoing development of the award winning Dockside Green neighbourhood located in Victoria’s inner harbour.
Norm received his undergraduate degree from SFU and continued his education completing a degree from UBC’s school of architecture.
Allyson Fraser has been elected Councillor since December 2001 and has served six consecutive two-year terms. Allyson is the Executive Assistant for the Musqueam Legal/Taxation Department and holds a Para Legal Certification from Capilano University; Budget Based Tax Rate Setting Certification from the First Nations Tax Administrators’ Institute and Property Tax Policy Certification from Simon Fraser University. In administering Tax Policies, she believes in maintaining fair and efficient property tax regimes and ensures our community and the Musqueam Tax Payers alike, receive the maximum benefits. Allyson has a commendable history in working with First Nations, Aboriginal organizations and the Federal Government and her areas of expertise also include Land Management and Indian Registry Reporting.
Allyson has worked as a Regional Technician on the Aboriginal Lands Advisory Board and has also served on several Committees of Council (eg: Housing, Education, Employment & Training, Lands, Public Works and Self-Governance.)
Allyson is a member of the Grant and Point family and takes pride in the Culture and Traditions of the Musqueam people. She has two children and two grandchildren. Over the years, Allyson received foster parenting certification and fostered a number of children.
Mr. Charles is privileged to serve as a Council Member for the Musqueam Indian Band for the last 26 years and has played an active role on council committees dealing with substantive treaty, lands and finance issues. He is currently an Associate with Kealey and Associates and also serves as a director for the Musqueam Capital Corporation, the Fraser River Discovery Center and previously the Fraser Basin Council. He has been involved in policy analysis and negotiations for the private sector that has resulted in joint venture projects with First Nation communities. Mr. Charles also rounds out his expertise as a member of the Board of Trustees for the $20.M – Musqueam 2010 Olympic Legacy Trust, on behalf of the Musqueam Indian Band. He has accumulated enough credits at The Justice Institute of British Columbia in Conflict Resolution Specializing in Negotiation to qualify for Certification and will continue his pursuit of Professional Development at JIBC; he has gained a wealth of knowledge of contemporary Aboriginal issues through courses at the Banff Centre of Excellence and he recommends that any aspiring FN’s leader attend the Banff Centre. Nolan has also placed 3rd out of 50 contestants at Yuk Yuk’s Vancouver’s Search for New Talent in Stand-Up Comedy and is very honored to be working with the British Columbia Golf Association to promote the Future Links program.
Babu Kadiyala, our new VP Real Estate.
Babu comes to MCC with close to 20 years of professional Canadian experience with additional international experience in design, development and construction on a wide variety of projects in the residential, master-planned, commercial, industrial, retail, hospitality, mixed-use real estate.
He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics from Bharathiar University in India in 1986 and an MBA from Andhra University in India in 1988. He is also an accredited professional in project management (PMP) and in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP).
Babu resides in the Coquitlam area with his wife, Ivy and daughter, Mirdula. He is looking forward to meeting everyone, albeit, electronically for now.

John has joined MCC as the Chief Financial Officer, having previously been the CFO for the Musqueam Indian Band. John has worked in both non-profit and for profit settings and has as wealth of experience managing finance and administration in real estate development, construction, fund management, and capital markets.
He has managed project finance for developments up to over $200 million in scale and has assisted in raising capital including equity, debt and structured finance solutions. John also has a diverse background in industry and his skills in financial management, planning and analysis will be of great benefit to MCC and his familiarity with Band finance will also be an asset.
Stephen joined Musqueam in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer and became the CEO of Musqueam Capital Corp. in 2013. Stephen has over twenty five years of senior finance and executive leadership experience in various industries. In 1995, Stephen obtained his CPA, CMA designation and in 2009, he was awarded his FCMA.
Joyce has joined our team as the Executive Assistant, supporting Steve and the leadership team. Joyce is a real estate professional with experience in brokerage, investment, development, management and investment funds. She has worked with some of the top teams in Vancouver and has strong competencies and knowledge of real estate administration, sales, marketing, communications, transactions, and reporting, as well as non-profit housing.
Joyce completed the Indigenous Canada course and Social Housing Management courses in recent years and has volunteered for various non-profits focused on social services, social housing development, health and fundraising for international community development projects.
Michael officially joined the MCC Team on Jan 1, 2020. Prior to this, Michael has been the GM at University Golf Course (UGC) since 1998 and was the Head Golf Professional from 1994 – 1998. A summer job back in 1979 at Capilano Golf &Country Club, in West Vancouver, ignited his lifelong passion and interest of the golf business, and it continues to burn just as strong to this day.
Growing up, his family moved around a lot (Toronto, Vancouver, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Victoria, Winnipeg)…all by the time he was 13 yrs old. In 1978, his family moved back to BC and settled in West Vancouver. The North Shore has been home for the majority of his life, although there was a 12 yr stint living downtown in Vancouver Coal Harbour, but “The Shore” called him back in 2011 when he and his wife, Jacquie, moved to North Van to start their own family.

Dexter comes with six years of experience in real estate project analysis and due diligence. He had worked on many New York City real estate developments in U.S. and retirement communities in Mainland China.
Dexter has completed UBC/AIC Post Graduated Certificate in Real Estate Valuation. He is pursuing appraiser designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Dexter completed his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nevada, Reno. Besides work accomplishments, Dexter is a NI-Dan Kendo (a traditional Japanese sword fighting martial art) practitioner in Steveston Kendo Club.
We are pleased to announce that Jane Koh has joined us as Development Manager. She will be focusing on the IR2 Master Planning Project amongst other projects and comes with a wealth of experience. Jane has worked in the private sector for both consulting firms and private developers and has been actively involved in the Vancouver Real Estate Industry. Jane is a Registered Professional Planner with a Masters from UBC’s School of Community and Regional Planning.
A member of Musqueam, Jay has extensive experience in managing projects in the Maritime, Building trades, and Career
Development sectors, often with multiple partners, including First Nation communities. Indigenous Service providers.
Industry sector groups. Regulating Bodies, Technical Training Institutions, and Governmental groups.
Jay has worked with over forty First Nation groups across Canada, and assisted thousands of Indigenous peoples in
establishing careers in key sectors including the Building Trades, Maritime, and Energy sectors.
Jay oversees the management of the various assets owned by the Musqueam First Nation. This includes two golf
courses, a townhome complex, and a marina, among others. Additional responsibilities are focused on partnership development, and in assisting the Musqueam First Nation in project and partnership- based strategic planning.
